The last place Thirteen and Coreen visited, had been engulfed in a massive ball of flame, the the oddly cute, fuzzy, parasitic creatures with way too many teeth died a fiery death.
Battered, soot-covered, and singed, one of the two figures on the floor of the TARDIS shifts and begins to slowly peel herself off of the ground. Aside from a gruff "Alright?" Thirteen more or less disregards her companion's presence, holding her arm gingerly against her torso as she eases herself slowly to her feet.
"M'getting too old for this."
"Says the nine-hundred year old Time Lady," comes the response. Thirteen just glowers at the small woman and begins to set the TARDIS onto it's next destination, working as best as one can with only one working arm.
Her companion hovers nearby as she works, and Thirteen has to swat irritably at hands questing to tend to her, disappearing into the back rooms of the TARDIS as soon as she's able to walk away from the console. She emerges later, arm wrapped and bandaged, and looking considerably less sooty, though not as much so as Coreen, who's cleaned up considerably more, it seems.
Pink-skinned from the shower, Coreen had changed as well, wearing some sort of white, linen sundress and wet hair piled into a sloppy bun, she looked bea-
"Right," Thirteen snaps, abruptly pulling herself from her musings and looking away from the other woman sharply. "A change of pace is in order, someplace relaxing." She cants her head towards the TARDIS doors. "Out there is the moon of the planet Shinaxi. The moon was tera-formed to be a...galaxy-wide national park of sorts. I figure it's a good enough place to cool our heels for a few days."
Coreen looks from her to the doors curiously. "So what's out there?"
"Nothing dangerous in the slightest," Thirteen responds, scooping up her coat and sliding it on slowly. "Go have a look for yourself."
Coreen shoots her one last, dubious look before making for the doors, cracking them open just a bit and peering outside before swinging them fully open, revealing a wooded glade just outside and...butterflies. Masses of butterflies lazily zipping their way though the sunbeams.
Coreen's startled out of her shocked stare as Thirteen rests a hand heavily on her shoulder, nudging her out the door. "Lovely, isn't it?" Coreen's mouth works soundlessly for a few moments.
"I...I'll be right back."
With that, Coreen turns under Thirteen's hand and slides past her and back into the TARDIS.
When Coreen returns, it's with an armload of art supplies, and she looks around for a place to set up, smiling softly to herself as she spots Thirteen stretched out on the grass, coat pillowed beneath her head and hands folded over her stomach and snoozing.
Slowly, butterfly after butterfly settles itself curiously onto the Time Lady, one after the other, and Coreen paints.
