Not Exactly A Good Day

It's been a while since she's been in the Bar. Between very long hours at work, and House running the team ragged, she hasn't even had time to think about Milliways, let alone come here.

Today is different, though. Milliways has usually refrained from pulling the young doctor in, since she had found a stable door, but now, she's stumbling in, almost unseeingly, and it takes her a moment to realize where she is.

Remy's certainly seen better days, hair a mess, red-rimmed eyes, and, oh yes, did we mention the blood? Though that's not exactly on her mind at the moment, as she's just noticed her lack of door and has turned to pound on the bare expanse of wall, leaving bloody prints as she hurls insults and generally screams at it.

She lets out a long breath, and more liquid disappears from her bottle as she digests this information. She's tempted to splutter and deny things, but what's the point?

"Then yes, I promise, I'll take off the time."

"Bar, witness." Rachel tapped the wood, and then a napkin appeared with the word 'witnessed' on it. "Good. Read some comics, play some games, DO NOT DO WORK no matter who calls you and asks you to. Get in touch with the things Kutler loved, and that you love."

Remy can't help but smile some at the blatant emotional blackmail, shaking her head wryly.

"I could use the break, anyway. House has been working our asses off, lately."

Well, blatant usually meant that a person would stick to their promises!

"Yes, you need a break." Rachel grinned. "And now you'll have an excuse beyond yourself to get one."

[numbered_doctor]

She gives a crooked grin, starting on her food now.

"Come take a break with me?"

"And leave the Bar to it's own devices?" Rachel chuckled and ruffled Remy's hair. "No dear, I'm far more comforting in small doses and strange places."

[numbered_doctor]

She swats at the hand in an attempt to ward off the ruffling.

"Fine, fine. Leave me to my own devices."

"How much trouble could you get up to in a world like yours?" Rachel teased. "Let's be honest, avoid serial killers, jail, and anything that explodes and you'll be fine."

Remy can't help but chuckle.

"A while ago at work, a guy held my boss, a bunch of patients, and myself as hostages at gunpoint. I got to play guinea pig to make sure the drugs we gave him weren't sedatives."

"Yeah, see, you don't have to do that when you're taking a break from work." Though she sounded casual there was no way in hell she was forgetting that little comment. Nope. "And avoid any idiots with guns."

[numbered_doctor]

"Very true," she says, spearing a bit of food onto her fork. "No idiots with guns at my apartment."

"That's a good apartment then." Rachel approved cheerfully. "Promise to eat regularly, spoil yourself, and generally do geeky things until you're giggly?"

She can't help but roll her eyes here.

"Yes, I promise, mother."

That earned a head pat.

"Good girl."

[numbered_doctor]

She just swats at the hand once again.

"Stopit."

Really, the ruffling and patting is undignified.

Dignity was incredibly overrated.

Rachel found the swatting incredibly amusing now and was turning 'mess up Remy's hair' into a game.

For a little while, Remy decides to try to fend off her super powered not!sibling.


Then she decides turnabout is fair play.

Luckily for Rachel...she didn't care if her hair was messy! So she ignored swats at her own hair to keep messing up Remy's.

Plus she had a height advantage, what with sitting on the Bar and all.

Remy squawks. Dirty tactics it is!

There may just be fingers poking at ribs now.

Ah, yes, dirty dirty tactics! Tickling was a low blow!

...so was that thin shield of energy between Remy's fingers and Rachel's ribs.

And even more cheating, well, there was the feeling of phantom fingers along Remy's side. TEKE TICKLING!

Remy yelps and shrieks, instinctively trying to twist away from the fingers.

"Not fair!"

Yes, she noticed that shield.

And the invisible, unblockable fingers? She noticed those to right? Right?

Rachel chuckled and stuck her tongue out. What? It seemed like the proper response to Remy's outrage!

Remy's shrieking with laughter now, trying to squirm away from unblockable fingers.

"Cheat!"

Let's just see what scrambling for a higher perch will do. She's sure Rachel can handle it.

"And?" Rachel challenged with a grin. What was she going to do about it? Ah, scramble for higher ground?

Well, Rachel could deal by hopping up into the rafters!

There's another squawk as Rachel begins to levitate, and Remy clings all the tighter.

"Fuck!"
